{"id":6740,"date":"2020-08-11T09:43:39","date_gmt":"2020-08-11T08:43:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.noghesdumonceau.com\/?p=6740"},"modified":"2020-08-11T09:43:39","modified_gmt":"2020-08-11T08:43:39","slug":"law-no-1-481-of-17-december-2019-on-civil-solidarity-contracts-which-entered-into-force-on-27-june-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.noghesdumonceau.com\/en\/law-no-1-481-of-17-december-2019-on-civil-solidarity-contracts-which-entered-into-force-on-27-june-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Law No. 1.481 of 17 December 2019 on civil solidarity contracts, which entered into force on 27 June 2020."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Civil solidarity contracts are contracts for living together that can be concluded by two persons in the form of a common-law union (partners) and cohabitation contracts that can be concluded by two members of the same family living together in the form of a roof community (cohabitants).<\/p>\n<p>Civil solidarity contracts are drawn up by an authentic deed of the notary with a joint declaration in person by both partners or cohabitants.<\/p>\n<p>In order to draw up a civil solidarity contract, the partners or cohabitants must present to the notary:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an identity document;<\/li>\n<li>a full copy of their birth certificate;<\/li>\n<li>proof of address;<\/li>\n<li>a certificate issued by the Court stating that they are not bound to a third party by a pre-existing civil solidarity contract;<\/li>\n<li>a declaration on their honour that they are not bound by any other civil solidarity contract validly concluded abroad in application of foreign law.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They commit themselves to contribute to the common needs of their life together and common debts.\u00a0 On the other hand, any personal debt or personal property remains the same.
